YouChain, a team of three young entrepreneurs from Berlin, Germany, is happy to announce the launch of their first 3D printing campaign on Indiegogo: ‘YouChain marks our foray into the exciting world of 3D printing’, says teammate Dorian, ‘With YouChain, every one will be able to customize their own individual keychain, to give their set of keys that personal touch.’ Thanks to 3D printing technology, YouChain is able to print any name or word ( maximum of 12 letters) as a keychain. ‘It really gives you a lot of flexibility in choosing whatever you wish and is meaningful to you. Make your keys as unique as you are, or use YouChain as a great gift for family and friends!’ adds teammate Quentin.

‘Individualizing your YouChain is a three-step process’, explains team member Max. ‘First, backers will choose from three different materials we currently use for 3D printing – standard plastic, flexible elastoplastic and stainless steel. If they choose standard plastic they will be able to order their YouChain in white or black whereas the elastoplastic material comes in a cream/off white color.’ In the next step, backers get to choose from three different fonts which are shown on the campaign website. ‘Finally’, says Dorian,’ they choose the text they want to be featured, any name or word they wish as long it is not longer than 12 letters. Just tell us what you want, and we will print it for you!’
The YouChain campaign will start on August 28th 2013 and run through September 26th with a goal of 1,000€ to finance production.
