An epic board game described as one player as “…more stressful than real life” has just been released on Kickstarter.
Xixen by Graham Clarkson: A game of strategy, memory and battle for universal supremacy! This epic game takes players to a universe, once ruled by Xixen. After many millenia of ruling in solitude, Lord Xixen created 5 others to help rule by his side. This inevitably led to chaos throughout all space and time. As a result, the lords have entered into a battle-quest that will end with the victor as the supreme Lord and Master of…well…everything! (not an easy thing to do).
The object of this fantastic, 2-6 player board game is to move around the board in search of the 6 keys that have been infused with the gods’ greatest powers. Players will search beneath game tiles in hope to find the keys, but their fates will change along the way as many tiles can misdirect, redirect and lead to new fortunes and challenges. Throughout the game, players build up their presence in the universe by forging regions and creating portals to navigate the board to foil their opponents. Players will develop strategies to ambush and influence the fates of the other players to help bolster their own energy while capturing regions and depleting the other players of power in battle.
