San Francisco, August 12th 2013: A week ago to the day, independent Barcelona-based games developer ‘FrozenShard’ launched a KickStarter crowdfunding campaign for their ambitious trading card game and launch-title, ‘World War II: TCG’. And during the first week of the campaign, more than 1/3 of the games target goal has been reached! ‘World War II: TCG’ is a multi-platform game currently in development for PC, iOS® and Android™, and is scheduled for release in the final quarter of 2013. It is a free-to-play, feature-packed trading card game inspired and influenced by the events of the Second World War. As the lone survivor of a wiped out squadron, it is your mission to assemble a new army and participate in a series of addictive and challenging campaigns. Throughout the game you will not only fight epic battles, but also have access to historically accurate weaponry and units. Unlike similar trading card games on the market, ‘World War II: TCG’ is not solely based on resource cards and simplistic gameplay; rather, for each turn, every player has multiple options and available actions that ultimately decides your fate.
Featuring 4 factions, 200+ unique trading cards, and historical hero cards, ‘World War II: TCG’ has a lot to offer. In addition to its immersive gameplay, beautifully rendered cards and historically accurate data, the game includes player-versus-player (PVP) battles and an extensive campaign mode! As something really exciting, the games PVP-mode is cross-platform supported, allowing combatants to play from different technologies; for example, a PC player could go head-to-head with an Android™ player, or an iOS® player could face off against an Android™ or PC player, respectively.
