Gilbert, AZ — We are Wes and Bridget Burress, the founders and chocolate makers at Sweet Eats! At Sweet Eats, we craft a premium line of Vegan and Paleo Certified dark, mylk and white chocolate. All of our chocolate is dairy free, gluten free, soy free and refined sugar free…Ok now that we have all of the FREE’s out of the way, together as a husband and wife team, we have mastered the art and perfected the craft of creating chocolate from 3 to 4 simple plant-based ingredients. Our chocolate is reminiscent of traditional old school chocolate, but is packed full of healthy nutrients and melt in your mouth delicious flavor!

We started this journey 4 years ago, when Bridget was diagnosed with Celiac Disease and our family had to adopt a Paleo diet. Now we are big chocoholics around here, so we were both frustrated and shocked to learn that there were zero Paleo/Vegan chocolate chip options on the market. To make matters worse…there were only a very few Paleo/Vegan chocolate bar options on the market and they didn’t taste good. As a result of these events we have made it our mission to create a chocolate that was not only HEALTHY, but also tasted GREAT! Since then we have been diligently working in the kitchen, creating the recipes and perfecting the chocolate making techniques we use today. We make all of the chocolate that we use ourselves, starting from the cacao nibs that we import from the Dominican Republic. We work with small family farms in the Dominican to source all of our cacao. These small family farms provide Sweet Eats with 2 of the 3 to 4 ingredients that it takes to create our choco late.

The coconut tree accounts for both of the other 2 ingredients…unrefined coconut sugar and also the coconut milk we use in our mylk and white chocolate! For the last 1.5 years, we have been hand crafting/selling all of our small batch chocolate and chocolate bars from a small shared commercial kitchen in Mesa, AZ. We are now looking to all of you to help us take this journey and Sweet Eats & Co. to the next level! You see, the reason Sweet Eats was born was because of the lack of allergen friendly and refined sugar free baking chocolate chip options on the market. We have yet to realize the true mission and dream for which Sweet Eats was born, which is providing the world with the very first, amazing tasting, 100% Vegan & 100% Paleo dark, milk and white chocolate bars and chocolate chips! As a result of this Kickstarter Campaign being successful, we will finally be able to make this dream a reality! Reaching our funding goal will allow us to fund the manufacturin g equipment & space, give us purchasing power for raw materials, as well as help us with labor to bring our chocolate bars and chocolate chips to all of you!

Other “healthy” chocolate options on the market contain questionable ingredients and let’s face it…they don’t even taste good at all, no matter how hard we try to convince ourselves.
