A small start-up called Wi-Share.com is planning to rock the boat of the big communication providers in USA, Canada and worldwide. North American citizens spend up to 10% of their disposable income for communication. Once outside the provider network on travel or out of town, mobile network providers charge a premium for their subscribers.

Wi-Share is about to change that. By using the power of million’s of installed and operational wireless access points in private homes and apartments, Wi-Share’s intent is to create a FREE wireless shared network which is created by people for people (basically a FREE wireless cloud).

The concept is simple: A user will share his wireless home network and in return will get access to millions of shared home networks in his city or even worldwide. All of that will be done via the WI-Share app which is going to be ready in a few months from now. Since there are no cost in operating a network, wi-share.com will be absolutely FREE of charge. Safety and security for the shared networks is guaranteed. All wireless traffic is routed through the wi-share app which will be available in August 2015.

Hoping that people will like the idea in not paying anymore for  mobile data, Wi-Share is currently launching a Kickstarter campaign to raise funding for development and marketing.

The project can be seen on the internet at www.wi-share.com

Wi-Share could be the next Uber or Skype. With having a wireless network created with the infrastructure of private people, Wi-Share could not only offer wireless access but possibly also tie into voice-over-Ip services like Skype or Viber. At that time people would not need a wireless provider or mobile phone anymore, a simple tablet with a wireless card would be good enough to communicate.

That for sure will rock the boat of the big communication companies and their mobile market.

Time to make a change.
