Crystal Clear Automation, LLC launches “We’re Not Creepy” private video server crowd campaign on Indiegogo. A free beta version is available to all during the COVID-19 lock down.

Peter James, project lead, says “Zoom is now the go to site for free video meetings. However, Zoom is not secure and it shares user data with other entities. Being able to talk to loved ones via video chats during the current lock down should not come at the price of users privacy”

Live Video is becoming a major form on communication on the internet. But it seems like all the major platforms compromise users privacy. Skype falls under Microsoft opaque privacy policy. Google provide several solutions and they are the definition of Creepy. View the Creepy Line Documentary. It free to watch on Amazon prime.

We see far because we sit on the shoulders of there are many free open source video servers available but to install them on personal PCs requires follow a long list of instructions. CCA’s crowd funding campaign will use some of these opens source code bases but provide easy to use installers.

Each video server will run on personal PCs. There will be no collection of user data. Severs owners can send out invitations to two-way chats or group video meeting to their friends and associates. The server arranges the connection between users browsers and then WebRTC (an open source secure video streaming protocol) on each browser runs secure video streams between browsers.

If the crowd funding campaign is fully funding CCA will also implement STUN severs that will also run on each personal PC along with the main(signalling) server. WebRTC requires a connection to a remote STUN server to open firewalls for the video streams. Since these STUN servers collect IP address data, they are a sUN servers on distributed personal PCs. Video chat users only need to trust the owner of the video server they are using which is typical a person they know.

CCA or any other entity will have no access to any user data.

CCA’s severs run on personal computers and require no account or directory and send no data to remote servers. It uses WebRTC for secure browser to browser video meetings.

A beta Windows version is being provided free during the COVID-19 lock down.
