Wello Technologies today launched a Kickstarter campaign for the Wello doorbell. Wello is a WiFi-connected doorbell. When a visitor presses the Wello doorbell, a notification is delivered to the homeowner’s phone, alerting them that the doorbell rang, even if they are unable to hear the audible chime in their home. With the Wello doorbell, homeowners will never miss another delivery or accidentally leave visitors standing on the stoop. Wherever they are in their house, or if they are wearing headphones, or if they are in the backyard, with Wello they will never miss their doorbell ringing.
Whereas most WiFi doorbells currently on the market from large corporations like Google and Amazon feature camera and speaker systems, Wello offers a simplified WiFi doorbell experience. Wello offers the connected doorbell features users desire, like smartphone notifications and integration with numerous other smart home products, at a much lower cost than competing doorbell products like Ring and Nest Hello.
“Many homeowners see camera-equipped doorbells as slightly rude, or at best standoffish.” said Scott Hatfield, founder of Wello Technologies. “Similarly, greeting visitors through a speaker on a doorbell is often perceived as unwelcoming and inhospitable. Some people simply don’t want to pay over $200 for a doorbell. Wello offers the most desirable features of a connected doorbell without features users might not want; and it is available at a much lower cost.”
Launched on Wednesday May 30, 2018, the crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter for the Wello doorbell seeks the funding necessary to bring the Wello doorbell to market and deliver pre-orders to initial buyers. Starting on 5/30, the Wello connected doorbell will be available for the early bird price of $76.
