New York, NY; APRIL 1, 2014 — Take two syrupy sweet Southern belles who are now wide-eyed in the Big Apple – scratch that, let’s drop any notion of a fairy tale here. These are two tougher-than-leather women who have seen everything and done even more – and they’re as tough as any other Manhattanite they come across. Add a literal boot-full of liquor and the attitudes that spring forth as a result of an over-served duo, and Southern Dish is that result.

Take a look at the sizzle reel on Indiegogo, then check out the series’ web page for a visual confirmation of the project’s Southern-fried yet urban-aware approach.

Project creator Meredith Riley Stewart has assembled a talented cast and crew to give life to her more-real-than-you-might-think imagination. Meredith made the leap from the Deep South to the Northeast, and Southern Dish is an interpretation of those clashing cultures. Other members of the cast and crew include Broadway actor Nicole Lowrance, Director Darla Delayne and Producer Adam Vasquez.

Following a quickly-growing fundraising campaign on Indiegogo, the team will begin local production on episodes of its first season.
