I guess the first thing to start talking about is how my life made me end up wanting to write. Let me introduce myself to those of you that don’t know me, my name is Ryan McGivern and I am a writer / producer. I have lived in Los Angeles now for 11 years, as I was a transplant from Minnesota. I moved to Los Angeles to become an actor. Through the first years I did schools, auditions, and always felt unfulfilled. So I started to write and the third script I wrote was “Vigor”.
“Vigor” is a drama. It is a story about suicide, life choices, and reasons for wanting to live. “Vigor” in my eyes can become a great artistic endeavor in showcasing the beauty of 35mm film, plus the sobering script co-written by Kyle Mixon, and the intoxicating feel of the city of Los Angeles.
The Impact
If you donate to the “Vigor” production, I will be so bumbled and blessed to get this Idea to the silver screen. Because of my schooling at the University of Minnesota – Morris, The Los Angles Film School, and my business sense I learned from many years as a Sales Supervisor for best buy, I know that I can complete this production on time. I also know I can complete it on budget… (The Total Budget is $180,000).
