March 2014 – Toxic Tutu is to be the only film that explains the public hiatus of actor Mark Torgl, star of the iconic cult film, “The Toxic Avenger”. An Indiegogo campaign has been launched with the goal of raising the $6,700 needed to complete the movie’s gory finale scenes. One of the final scenes is to be shot entirely at the popular horror convention, “Mad Monster Party” being held in late March of 2014 in Charlotte, SC. Fans of both Troma Entertainments’s aforementioned feature and horror culture alike are urged to help fund the completion of the film’s conclusion as a means to take advantage of the fantastic perks offered to backers of the project.

Mark Torgl, Star of Toxic Tutu

Torgl, known best as The Toxic Avenger’s Melvin the Mop Boy, is to reveal his account about the toxic waste he was exposed to on the set of the infamous production. The film delves deeply into why that exposure has forced him to remain incognito for the last thirty years. Unfortunately, others would rather he not tell his story for their own personal interests. The controversial mockumentary exploits the mind-bending account of an experience Mark Torgl goes through after finally deciding to step forward and tell the truth, regardless of the consequence.

The major scenes in question are to feature Torgl, in what appears to be his final convention appearance following a harrowing abduction and his ultimate rescue by a dedicated group of tutu wearing fans. This sets up the film’s climactic final standoff, in which the villain gets what she has ultimately coming to her for the unjustified humiliation she has bestowed upon our hero.

In addition to requiring the funds to finish the scenes themselves, 50+ fans are also needed to partake as actors in one of the concluding segments. A room full of tutu wearing “Toxic Avenger” fans will be vital to the production’s payoff sequence. As further incentive to fans for offering their financial and on screen support, these participants will be rewarded with various benefits including exclusive memorabilia, special speaking roles in the film and invitations to private screenings before the film’s official release.

Filming for the Mad Monster Party scene will take place on March 21 – 23, 2014 at the Hilton Charlotte University Place, 8629 J.M. Keynes Drive, Charlotte, North Carolina 28262. Fans can further support the Toxic Tutu Indiegogo campaign by following the film’s Facebook and Twitter accounts.
