Savage, MN — March 22, 2016 | Sequels and remakes are all that seems to come out of Hollywood these days. Back when going to the movies was a big deal, and not something that’s now taken for granted, it excited us. Now, it seems as though there are so few filmmakers who are capable of telling a fresh story through film that has not been told by another.

“Torino” is a new indie film story that showcases the best and worst of humanity when a kid and his partner are arrested and awaiting trial for a failed bank robbery set in motion by his crime-lord boss. Little do they suspect, one of them is a suspected traitor amongst thieves in the mid-west. All seem to see the kid as a scumbag and a criminal. That is… All but one. One law woman who has been in his shoes, one who sees the good in him. Nobody sees eye to eye with this woman, especially two: goons sent undercover as officers to find the truth and bring this betrayal to light. Everyone’s intentions are clear as day, all except the kid in question, whose plans differ quite largely from his surrounding peers.

Filmed throughout Minnesota, “Torino” is a part of an ongoing effort to bring more larger film productions to Minnesota, such as the Coen Brothers’ do with films such as “Fargo” and “A Serious Man”, and, more recently, the upcoming Woody Harrelson film “Wilson”. Especially since Minnesota has some of the most beautiful sights in the world; too beautiful not to capture on film.

The passion and love that burns in my soul for both filmmaking and storytelling alike started when I was very young and I want to be able to bring stories such as Sons of Anarchy, Citizen Kane, and Star Wars, films and stories with originality back into the lives of the public.

Our campaign will focus on post-production expenses such as song licencing rights, audio mixing, color grading along with travel and submission fees involving film festivals all across the country. Help get this film out for the world to see and help make history!
