With mobile phones already fitted with flashlight, this tool is being slowly forgotten. Most of our flashlights (if we still keep one at home) are stored in a messy drawer and when we need them, we find that the batteries are either leaking or no longer functioning anymore.
Flashlight is Allocacoc’s latest project which inspires imagination on how you can use this forgotten tool. From a table lamp to a hanging lamp to a bike light, you’ll never see flashlight the same again. Based in the Netherlands, Allocacoc is an industrial design start-up established in 2011. Winner of several design award including the Red Dot Design Award and the iF Design Award, their mission is to create a new user experience through re-designing existing products at a value accessible to every household in the world.
Flashlight will be available on Indiegogo soon! By supporting this Indiegogo project, you help fuel their creativity on the many more ways flashlight can be used and bring this forgotten tool back to life. The funds raised will be used to design and produce more accessories to match flashlight with. In addition, the funds will go into ensuring the sustainability of their designing and manufacturing processes. As their way of saying thanks, super early bird supporters can save up to 35% when they pledge during their Indiegogo launch.
