Thanks to amazing backers/supporters like you, over the last several years Creepy Kawaii has been able to create 8 large plush, 2 mini plush, two plush & two minis in joint projects with other creators/businesses, over 2 dozen hard enamel pins, two PVC figurines, and a 78 card Tarot deck!! Creepy Kawaii currently has two planned Kickstarters for 2021, the first being Lilith the Black Witch Moth plush!
“Lilith is a Black Witch Moth who has a bit of a bad reputation (at no fault of her own). Legends state that she is an ill omen, a bringer of death, but she is actually a kind and helpful being that brings good luck and fortune to those that treat her kindly. If you wish to meet Lilith she can often be found dancing in the forest under the light of a full moon.”
Lilith will cost $7,000 to start production on. This cost includes overseas shipping, Kickstarter fees, and promotion/marketing. She will be made from super soft minky fabric, will be approximately 10″ tall (12″ with her antennae), and will be plumpy stuffed with poly stuffing. Her wings will be custom printed polyster fabric using a dye sublimation technique.
“I have always wanted to do something with a moth, and last year thanks to my very successful Plague Birb Kickstarter, I was able to invest back into my business and finally start working on one!” says Stefanie Black, the owner of Creepy Kawaii. “Lilith is the embodiment of creepy and cute (the word kawaii is Japanese for “cute”), and she fits in so perfectly with my plush lineup.”
