WHERE IT ALL STARTED
Hi and welcome! My name is Nelson Malta. I am a Sketch Artist, Artistic Educator & Graphic Designer. The Blood of War is a fantasy/action comic book I devised with the creative assistance of my brother Davide Malta.
The Blood of War is an idea I conceptualized as a teenager; it has grown into a project that I would want to actualize. As twins, Davide and I share the same creative drive and many of the same creative outlets. It was only natural for us to put our heads together and make this project, at first only an idea, into a masterpiece. My hope, my dream, is to share this masterpiece with readers all over the world, through both hard copies and electronic copies in multiple languages. To make this dream come true, we need the help of you and Kickstarter.

In the story of the Blood of War we follow a handful of people, outlaws, mercenary’s and outcasts that manages to find each other including six unusual children. This small group of people with no trust for one another must come together and find a way to rely on each other to protect six children and travel with them to the deepest darkest parts of Terra Prime to reveal the secrets of their past, what they are in the present and to insure the continuation of mankind’s future.
The Blood of War is set on a planet called Terra Prime, a far off world with an Earth-like atmosphere and similar gravity. We acknowledge that a different planet is an odd setting for a “fantasy” comic, but fantasy comes from perspective. The characters, whose eyes we’ll be seeing the world through, don’t understand the world they live in. General lack of knowledge, hard scientific knowledge, is a primary element in both the fantasy and even the horror of The Blood of War. As for traditional fantasy elements in the world, there is magic to bedazzle and there are monsters to be feared. The corners of the maps don’t end in hard lines, but simply blur into the unknown.
