If the thought of paranormal investigation and the discovery of ghosts, spirits and poltergeists chills you to your core, then look no further than The Sceptic Truth, the brainchild of Chris Chandler and C2 Comics!
Based in Wigan in the North West of England, Chris set up C2 Comics with the aim of self-publishing his own comic book titles, and with the help of Stockholm-based artist Emre Ozdamarlar and Argentinian colourist Exequiel Fernandez Roel, they will bring The Sceptic Truth to life!
The Sceptic Truth follows the global travels of Scott Heiland -an Englishman living in self-imposed exile, who will stop at nothing to avoid his past- and Preston Knutford -an uptight social outcast- as they investigate possible paranormal phenomena.
All that remains between the concept and the realisation is acquiring the funding, and C2 Comics will be attempting to do just that with a Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign that has been active since Tuesday 30th July. The campaign will run for 30 days until Thursday 29th August, and if successful will see funding raised for issue #01, the first of a three part story set in Danvers, Massachusetts- previously Salem Village, where over 150 people were imprisoned, with over 20 losing their lives in the Salem Witch Trials of 1692.
Future investigations will see Scott Heiland and Preston Knutford getting to the bottom of countless hauntings around the world, as well as searching for well-known and obscure mythical creatures. Their investigations will also cover the existence (or lack thereof) of extraterrestrial lifeforms as their paths cross with that of their arch-rivals- another duo that are obsessed with UFOs!
As the series continues, they will also welcome new members to the group, and secrets from their pasts will be revealed. Along the way, questions will be raised that they know no answer to, but one thing is for certain: Scott and Preston’s lives will be forever altered as they uncover truths that they never thought possible.
