Building on the viral success of the OSTRICHPILLOW® feel-good products for a better living, STUDIO BANANA has launched a new design that builds on the intriguing category of “fashion wellbeing”. A standalone hood for casual comfort, this versatile garment is a classical wardrobe essential that has been renewed with a twist, making it more versatile and adaptable to the changing needs of modern life.
The idea behind OSTRICHPILLOW HOOD started when observing how people constantly search for their comfort space anywhere in the city. “We wanted to offer a way for everyone to be able to switch off and relax, wherever they are”, says Ali Ganjavian, cofounder of STUDIO BANANA. As experts on napping and wellbeing products, the makers of OSTRICHPILLOW are now expanding into the fashion market with the aim of making users not only look but also feel their best.
STUDIO BANANA has applied their experience and know-how as product designers into this double layered hood, that enjoys a beautiful fall, shape and elasticity and comes in two timeless colors. Of course, OSTRICHPILLOW HOOD builds on the legacy of a true fashion icon with thousands of years of history, brilliantly summed up by MoMA’s Senior Curator of Architecture & Design Paola Antonelli [link a TED TALK?].
