The Choosatron is a Choose Your Own Adventure® inspired story printer. Wi-Fi connected and fully hackable!
Minneapolis, Minnesota – July 29th, 2013 THE CHOOSATRON is a fun kit that assembles easily, even for kids, into a small interactive fiction game box, great for social reading and playing. As you play, you make decisions that affect the outcome of the story, and your journey is printed on a keepsake paper scroll.
It is powered by a Spark Core Wi-Fi device, providing wireless management of the stories on your Choosatron. Supported by the Spark Cloud, you can write and share your stories online, so even remote friends and family can play your stories.
To really showcase the possibilities, The Choosatron’s creator commissioned writers, familiar to some of you through their writing for books and television, to create original interactive stories just for The Choosatron. The Choosatron kit is kid friendly requiring zero soldering. You simply plug in the cables, insert the Spark Core, and few screws later you are ready to play.
The Choosatron is open source and includes both hardware designs and software. It is through a collaboration between Choosatron’s CEO Jerry Belich and Spark Devices, a recent Kickstarter success story, that the wireless and cloud platform capabilities are easily possible.
