										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: justify;">A startup in the heart of the country has started to build a mobile app that allows its users to request roadside assistance from anyone. Highway Hand is a mobile app built to crowdsource Roadside Assistance &#8211; in other words, a peer to peer roadside assistance mobile app. Users can sign up to get help from anyone nearby or users can choose to help other people needing roadside assistance.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">When requiring roadside assistance, users (Helpees) are able to put up a flag using the safe and secure Highway Hand mobile app. If you know what the problem is, you can add those details for more specific help. The app finds and notifies trusted nearby users (Helpers) that are able and willing to help with that particular problem. All requests to helper are anonymous, and exact location of the Helpee is never shared until both parties agree to the services.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">“The basic truth is, you do not have to be a rocket scientist to change a tire or jump start a car.” Said Hamza, the CEO of Highway Hand, Inc. “More than 80% of car troubles involve a quick fix that anyone can help with. Then why wait for hours and spend on costly services when anyone can lend a hand”. According to the CEO, the app is not only for good Samaritans but can be used by anyone – an auto mechanic wanting to make extra income on the side by providing basic roadside assistance. Even professional roadside assistance service providers can list their services on the app giving consumers greater choice.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">After 1-year in development, Highway Hand mobile app is in Beta version. Before the launch, the company seeks to raise funds on Kickstarter to add some key functionality that will help the platform make more secure to use – such as phone verification and geo-tracking.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In less than two days since the Kickstarter campaign was launched, the idea for crowdsource roadside assistance has gained great traction on social media and has already reached 20% of its funding goal.</p>

The company set out to raise <a href="http://bit.ly/nameloop" target="_blank">£250,000 on Crowdcube</a> to seed their revenue model as they develop their ability to allow people to share their data with companies on the platform.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><em>Nameloop, an exciting player in the mobile and web app industry developing the social and digital address book of the future are now on Crowdcube.</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Contact information; one of the few parts of our lives still stuck in the dark ages. Nameloop are on a mission to change that. Nearly everyone has an address book. On smartphones, either the built-in app or any other downloaded tool aiming at unifying contacts or pulling a contact’s picture and information from the web. However, when it comes to organising, sharing and keeping these up-to-date things can turn sour. How do you ensure that the contact details recorded in a phone’s address book are still valid? And what about sharing contact information? How do people tailor what they share to their audience?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Nameloop has built an app and web interface in order to answer these questions and make contact management a smooth process. The app, available for free on the web and on mobile (both Android and iOS), allows, first, to organise contacts. Then, anytime a contact updates their details in the app, these are automatically updated in the address book and allow the user to always be able to stay in touch with friends, family, colleagues or customers.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">A game-changing feature offered by Nameloop is the possibility to create “Loops”. Actual categories (friends, family, work … everything relevant) and tailor the information shared with the contacts in these Loops. Want to share work details (phone and email) only with prospects and customers? It only takes a few clicks to create a “Work” loop and select these details. On the other hand, sharing all details with family members is also possible and still as easy by creating a “family” Loop (for example) and selecting not only phone numbers and emails but also details about Skype, Twitter, a home address/phone number and so on.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">After a few months, Nameloop’s user base continues to grow on a worldwide scale with users in more than 45 countries. The major markets being the United Kingdom, the United States, France (a nice feat for an app only available in English for now) and Australia.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">They have recently gone further in their development by launching Nameloop for Business (<a href="https://business.nameloop.com" target="_blank">business.nameloop.com</a>) to allow people to connect to businesses. Nameloop for business allows people to share contact info with companies (via Loops) and companies to share contact info with people (through Listings). The typical application is for customer, membership or employee information. A company sets up a Loop and determines the information that they require when people connect to them. When the person who is connected with the organisation updates their details, it pushes the data in real time to every person and company they’re sharing it with.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">A company can create a Listing so people can connect to them on Nameloop too and the company’s contact information syncs automatically with the individual’s phone. Hence people always have the latest details for the company as the changes are pushed in real time.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: justify;">In January of 2015 the Einsteinium foundation, a cryptocurrency (CC) organization, conducted a crowdfunding (CF) campaign to benefit a research scientist: <a href="https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/science-study-memory-loss-dueto-sleep-deprivation" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">ww.indiegogo.com</a>, during that successful campaign organizers were unable to convince Indiegogo to enable CC to be donated directly to the campaign via the site so organizers created their own system to enable people who wanted to donate CC to be able to do so. In addition to donations, many CC developers, foundations, and communities also participated as campaign sponsors in different ways. It was from those experiences the idea of PICISI (pronounced ‘pick-easi’) was birthed.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">PICISI is designed to be a site where philanthropists, investors, and charities go to support inventions, startups, and ideas &#8212; P.I.C.I.S.I. As a CF site, PICISI will accept all significant currency types including USD, GBP, CAD, BTC, EMC2, HYPER, etc … the site will be a positive way to learn about, receive, and use cryptocurrency.</p>
<p>Site launch prerequisites demand achievement of 7 goals:<br />
1) recruit a min. of 6 admins, they now have 2 (Exec Dir, and Asst, Dir);<br />
2) secure a min of 20 sponsors, they now have 23 — goal achieved &amp; surpassed;<br />
3) secure a min of 8 campaigns to crowdfund, they now have 3;<br />
4) recruit a min of 1 referral agent, they now have 1 — goal achieved;<br />
5) associate with a min of 2 promotion contractors, they now have 15 — goal achieved &amp; surpassed;<br />
6) associate with a min of 1 campaign contractor, they now have 12 — goal achieved &amp; surpassed and;<br />
7) publish a min of 5 articles, they now have 19 — goal achieved &amp; surpassed.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Regardless of how good an idea is, it is only an idea until it is put into productive action. PICISI’s Executive Director is looking for energetic professionals for the following positions: Deputy Director, Content Director, Promotion Director, and Communications Director.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Deputy Director – second in command, is in charge when the Executive Director is unavailable or when so directed by the Executive Director. Ideally this person would be a great compliment to the Executive Director, s/he would provide a healthy contrast on issues and opinions. Perhaps more focused on day-to-day micro issues as the Exec Dir focuses on day-to-day macro issues. Someone with a healthy understanding of all of the following: CF, CC, charity, social networking, and business law is ideal.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Content Director – responsible for everything visible on the site, the primary focus is campaigns; campaigns are the heart of the site his/her job is to produce large volumes of high quality campaigns. The secondary focus is securing sponsorships.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Promotion Director – responsible for promoting the site to sponsors, organizers, members, donors, and media to generate business. Responsible for instructing and monitoring the Promotion Contractors and Campaign Contractors. This person is a trainer as well as a hard-sales person. This person must be knowledgeable, personable, and patient, yet know when and how to close a deal.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Communications Director – is responsible for the PICISI message, s/he is the face and voice of PICISI, his/her top priority is having our site make news all day, everyday somewhere around the world: via press release, article, and/or interview (TV, radio, video).</p>

Well entrepreneur and TED Fellow Kavita Baliga&#8217;s new startup Desi Music Entertainment does just that &#8211; except with music. The new company has recently launched their crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter to raise startup capital and has obtained 10% of their asking in less than 4 days!  The company aims to nurture, teach, produce, and promote talent &#8211; a 1 stop shop &#8211; that develops comprehensive strategy for up-and-coming talent but also takes a creative leap into production and worldwide digital distribution. The concept being &#8211; when the artist has one company that&#8217;s holding their hand through this lengthy process, it&#8217;s not only cost effective, it takes less time, and the artist ends up with one cohesive public identity that will set the tone for the rest of their career. The best part is, Desi Music Entertainment won&#8217;t own the copyright of their work.</p>

(December 9, 2014) – SaveOhno Inc. launched a <a href="https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/136597581/saveohnoorg">Kickstarter campaign</a> last week to promote and fundraise its climate change web platform, SaveOhno.org, which will launch in early 2015. The team has already raised 40% of its Kickstarter goal, and is looking to garner support from the local Babson and Wellesley community as they move forward.</p>
<p>SaveOhno.org attempts to educate and drive legislative progress on the issue of climate change through gamification and social media.</p>
<p>“‘Ohno’ is a character that represents the site visitor’s great granddaughter, and she is living far in the future, in a time seriously affected by the climate change caused from today,” said SaveOhno.org cofounder Dylan Husted. When people visit SaveOhno.org, they see Ohno’s town get destroyed by extreme weather. Then, it’s up to them to rebuild it by taking action in the real world, through the platform.</p>
<p>Ohno’s town improves every time users participate in any of 5 core activities. They can:</p>
<p>· Start and support local petitions to drive legislation on fossil fuel divestment or renewable energy implementations</p>
<p>· Launch or join online protests where people speak out against political inaction or corporate irresponsibility on Twitter and Facebook</p>
<p>· Launch or contribute to crowdfundable social media ad campaigns to boost awareness of SaveOhno initiatives</p>
<p>· Contact political representatives to voice their opinions on legislation and climate change in general</p>
<p>· Start a ‘Create Your Own’ campaign that allows them to create any climate change initiative they want, as long as they comply with SaveOhno’s rules.</p>
<p>However, if a user is inactive for extended periods of time, Ohno’s town begins to regress again. In addition, users gain ‘Hero Points’ and badges to create a public profile of what they’ve accomplished.</p>
<p>“Gamification is a very powerful tool for incentivizing and educating people, and that’s exactly what we need to do to get more Americans involved in this issue,” said Husted, SaveOhno’s President and Chief Technology Officer. “But that’s only half the battle. We also need to provide people with the ability to easily drive change by voicing opinions, which is really the core functionality of <a href="http://saveohno.org/" target="_blank">SaveOhno.org</a>.”</p>
<p>The Kickstarter campaign is in full swing, garnering 22% of its goal within 6 hours of its launch and a total of 40% after 1 week. “This is a very exciting opportunity to create a community of SaveOhno users who are involved with the project from the beginning,” said Neil Narain, SaveOhno’s Chief Marketing Officer. The campaign serves to create an active community and generate the financial backing necessary to launch the platform and reach more people in addition to the crowdfunding community. In fact, every dollar donated to the campaign results in approximately 13 more people who see a SaveOhno ad on social media websites.</p>

Initially, Tibby and Finn is offer their innovative and fashionable nursing tops that aid breastfeeding without over-exposing the mother.  The designs offer fashion, newness and ease-of-use currently not found in the market place. Tibby and Finn nursing tops offers moms an easy way to breastfeed anywhere with their drape-over designs. And when she is no longer breastfeeding, she still has a fashionable and comfortable top she can wear in her everyday life even when pregnant.</p>
<p>“The problem”, says Rafi Fletcher, the founder and designer “is that women are being harassed for breastfeeding in public. Why should a mother be escorted out of a store, restaurant or park because she had to feed her crying baby. Current nursing tops are fussy, uncomfortable and guess what you are still exposed.  We all know that breast milk is best for your baby, and the benefits of breastfeeding extend well beyond basic nutrition, so it&#8217;s time to re-think and re-imagine the nursing top to aid mother and child&#8217;s comfort.&#8221;</p>
<p>Tibby and Finn&#8217;s nursing system comprises of a nursing top designed to flare out at the bottom sweep. The top allows mom to drape the front panel over her baby&#8217;s head or torso. Underneath the top is a base tank with the front panel cut below the bust-line, thus eliminating another layer from the bust area while covering moms back and midsection. The combination of the two pieces allow for easy access and perfect coverage while breastfeeding.</p>
<p>The Tibby and Finn project will run until November 19th, during which time, in exchange for supporting the project, Tibby and Finn enthusiasts have the opportunity to receive ‘rewards’ ranging from Tibby and Finn cotton tote bag to their nursing sets, which includes two nursing tops and a base tank. All our Monties are unique to their name and guaranteed to make an elegant addition to your wardrobe.</span></p>
<p>The journey of each Montie begins by hand selecting the finest fabrics. After narrowing down thousands of options we were able to develop a collection of just over a dozen that fit our standards and style.</p>
<p>We then search for the highest quality and most uniquely grained woods. The wood is precisely cut by a local studio to the shape of our designs to insure precision and efficiency. Once cut it is sanded by hand to create a smooth surface and beveled edge adding to the depth of the final product. We appreciate the beauty and warmth of natural wood so our ties are treated with linseed oil to emphasize the color and grain.</p>
<p>Each fabric is hand cut and wrapped around the piece in the shape of a knot, adding to the final touch to each Montie, perfectly complementing the wood.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Mount Laurel, NJ — </strong>Crowdfunding, the practice of funding a project or venture by raising money from a large number of people, typically via the Internet, will be the topic of discussion at a seminar presented by the Incubators at Burlington County College (BCC) on Tuesday, Sept. 9 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Enterprise Center at BCC, located on the college’s Mount Laurel campus.</p>
<p>Presented along with Ronald M. Allen, of Managing Change, the seminar will bring together representatives from major crowdfunding platforms like KIVA, Indiegogo and Kickstarter (just three of the 140 platforms to date), who will discuss the elements of a successful crowdfunding campaign. In addition to raising capital, crowdfunding can also help strengthen brand identity, secure publicity, create awareness and connect valuable business contacts.</p>
<p>Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. and the program will start at 6 p.m. Cost of attendance is $25, which is payable online at <a href="http://incubators.bcc.edu/crowdfunding" target="_blank">incubators.bcc.edu/crowdfunding</a> (click “Add to Cart” at bottom of page). The seminar includes a question and answer session, giveaways and light refreshments.</p>
