Are you still holding your tablet? Tablets are great for quick computing or on-the-go, but not for long periods of time. A local Western Australian startup company wants to change all that and help people get more use from their tablet. Samnites Group has developed a sleek, compact, foldable device that lets you effortlessly use your tablet anytime, anywhere.

The Tabble is the brainchild of father-son creators, Jarrad & Rick Crugnale. Both came up with the idea around the same time but in very different ways. Jarrad was out on a mine-site watching people run back and forth between the process plant and their offices to update their spreadsheets. He knew there had to be a more efficient way to access a computer whilst on site. Rick likes to watch YouTube and Netflix on his iPad but found it uncomfortable to hold for long periods, and awkward to position. So they went to the drawing board and started to develop the concept of a freestanding ‘tablet table’, hence the name, Tabble.

The Tabble features adjustable sides that allows it to fit any size tablet or e-reader, from every manufacturer, in both portrait and landscape orientation. The Tabble is compact and lightweight – perfect for every commuter’s backpack. The Tabble is turning to crowdfunding for an official launch: which is set to begin in December 2015 and run for two months.

When Microsoft’s Xbox introduced online game streaming on Windows 10 in July, Sony’s Playstation also jumped on board creating a new generation of gaming by moving away from restrictions of bulky gaming console. By allowing game streaming through devices such as smart phones and tablets, both major companies are attempting to meet the needs of future generations of gamers who want to have the freedom to play anytime, anywhere. The Tabble is an essential accessory for this new generation: it is a free-standing platform that holds the tablet screen comfortably in the perfect position, giving you have two hands free for the controller.
