A startup, Real Purpose Apparel, has been launched on Kickstarter to create green apparel for social and environmental justice in the mainstream marketplace.
With all that is happening in the world: rapidly declining species, drastic evidence of climate change throughout the world, the constant trampling of human rights of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable many of the average citizen can only observe with misgiving but feeling powerless to make a change within the confines of our every day routines.
Real Purpose has moved to address this by turning conscious clothing, i.e. Fairtrade, FairWear, low carbon and Organic into clothing with a conscious message – messages that promote environmental and social justice. In addition to the conscious artwork on each garment live twitter hashtags are linked with each shirt e.g. #SaveTheAnimals and #ForThePlanet.
Combining comfy soft t-shirts that are Organic and fairtrade and low carbon is great already, but carrying a conscious message – how better could it get?
