London-based designers launch stool made from only 4 parts
3 legs and a piece of string. What can you do with that? Design consultancy Not Tom took up the challenge and have created STRUNG, their first self-produced product bringing fun and craft to the incredibly boring world of flat-pack furniture.
Taking away all the unnecessary hassle that typically surrounds DIY products, STRUNG is a build-it-yourself stool that is inherently customisable. The design arose from the idea of using a single part in repeat to make a simple, useable and creative product. By combining this repetitive part with something as simple as a length of string, Not Tom have made a stool that is both mass-produceable and 100% bespoke at the same time.
