Poetry, Story-telling and a refreshing approach to how you see the human body in monochrome.
What is Stripped Dreams?
Stripped Dreams is a self-published book that takes a unique spin on the typical artistic nude book. Adding in a storytelling and rhymes with the assortment of black and white nude images.
Where is the money going?
The money is being used to rent locations for the photo shoots, pay talent and for advertisement. I really don’t care to shoot in a studio unless I absolutely have to. Paying for gas as well.
Tell me more about rewards.
The typical rewards in association with photography is all here. I am thinking of adding a custom painting of a few of the images as well. I will select the random images from the book once shooting has concluded and we are in the post production phase.
Who are your subjects?
All subjects are 18 years of age or older. The subjects are a combinations of models and non-model people. Couples, male and females will be on display in the book. Authors of rhymes and storytelling are in the music industry or just people I know who tell amazing stories.
What inspired you to make this book?
I always like to do things that other people aren’t currently doing. I have never seen a book that took poetry and story-telling and combined it with black and white artistic nude. Challenging myself and others around me is my driving force. If it isn’t challenging then what is the point in doing it?
PORN?!
Nope, no porn here. This book is about enjoying the beautiful art that is the human body. No sex. This book is not gratuitous and it is not exploitational. However, there is nudity and it is not censored.
Your shooting process?
I am very laidback and if you could ask anyone who has worked with me they quickly become comfortable with me. Because I have perfected my shooting workflow and post-production workflow it doesn’t take me long to complete a shoot. I usually shoot for 1 or 2 hours and get what I need. Shoots will be on location as stated before and also in subject’s home and public locations. I plan on getting some behind the scenes footage as well.

Risks and challenges
One of the biggest risk will be subject flaking at the last moment. While the people I have selected for this book are reliable, we have to understand that life happens and it could cause a possible delay.
The other risk is equipment breaking or just not working. I have the resources to replace all of these items.
The rental of locations would be a possible hard part as well if the location is not available in a timely fashion.
A little bit about me…
My name is Jason McNeil. I am former US Army soldier who has fallen in love with photography. I specialize in Alternative fashon, Glamour and Dark Photography.
The way it all started was back in 2008-09, I was in South Korea. Working under a Major, being his Photography assistant for our company. The Major and I didn’t share the same creative eye and when I came back to the States I bought my first digital camera (DSLR). My grandfather was also a photographer so it became important to me to really learn about photography, but to also find my own identity within it.
I like to have fun when I do photography. Ask anyone who has photographed with me and they will tell you I am pretty laid back and easy to work with. Laughter is a must when I shoot, if I am not laughing and your not laughing at some point while we are shooting then there is a problem.
I can be highly creative on the fly at times. Sometimes I have a millions ideas during shoots that come into my mind and I want to shoot every idea! However, I do like hearing ideas from clients as well and if it is within my capablities it will happen.
My ultimate goal in photography is to have my work remembered and appreciate years from now. I want people to look at my work and figure out what I am trying to express in the photos. I believe every photograph tells a story and I want my photographs to be some of the best stories ever…
