San Marcos, CA | July 31, 2015 – THINK Inc., the upcoming documentary exposing the threat of corporate-takeovers to American public colleges, today released its 3-minute promotional video to the public on Kickstarter’s website. The release officially launches the documentary’s awareness campaign to highlight that public education is a critical part of maintaining our country’s democracy, and that society cannot afford to sell it off to the highest bidder.

For the next 40 days, thinking people can watch the video at: www.kickstarter.com

Those who think generously can contribute to the crowd fund campaign, where backers will be rewarded with THINK Inc.-related bounty. Of special note is a limited edition, propaganda-style screen print created just for this video release, the result of a dynamic collaboration with the famous rock poster artist, Scrojo.

The promo itself features other notable experts. The documentary crew has already filmed dozens of interviews for the full-length film, and this particular clip includes crucial statements from education historian Diane Ravitch, provocative AFT President Randi Weingarten, education author Kirsten Lombard, and education professor Yong Zhao. Their views, combined with THINK Inc.’s own footage, definitively outline the unwanted corporate influence in higher education, and the urgency with which society must address the issue.

The professors and student filmmakers creating THINK Inc. have taken on this vital project so the public may understand that one of its greatest public goods is being silently exploited for profit while corrupting student learning and democracy’s platform. The full-length film is planned for release in the late summer, 2016.

THINK Inc. is a documentary film exploring the benefits of public colleges while exposing the corporate-takeover threat the system faces. Interviews with students and education professionals, ranging from the poignant to the piercing, illustrate the main narrative – that public higher education is a critical part of maintaining American democracy, and that society cannot afford to sell it off to the highest bidder.
