Model railroad enthusiasts the world over want to track key scale information about their trains, such as speed and distance traveled. SpeedBEE Rail endeavors to provide a solution that is simple to install and use and allows the modeller to retain the authenticity of their layout.

The current technology for tracking speed is obtrusive, cumbersome to install, requiring the modeller to make changes to their realistic layouts to accommodate the equipment, and limited to measure the speed in only one location on the track.

SpeedBEE Rail approaches this problem from a new angle. We provide a solution that allows the user to simply place a SpeedBEE Rail car on the train, pair the unit (via Bluetooth) to their iPad, and start running their train. The speed and distance traveled is displayed on the screen realtime while the train is running. This new approach enables yard master’s running operations with multiple trains to manage up to eight devices per iPad and accurately ensuring that all participants are operating within speed limits.
