A new film ‘Reclaiming the Blade: Sons of Fire’ will explore the gaming culture, as well as sword crafting and wielding within digital domains. The online gaming and RPG (Role Playing Games) worlds present a very interesting opportunity to learn more about our true fascination with the sword. Galatia Films the producers of the #1 iTunes documentary ‘Reclaiming the Blade’ are teaming up with ‘Spartacus‘ series and ‘Chronicles of Narnia‘ fans, actors and stunt coordinators to produce another film on the sword.

The first ‘Reclaiming the Blade‘ was distributed by Starz, it featured Lord of the Rings‘ actors Viggo Mortensen, Karl Urban and John Rhys-Davies. It was supported by the Royal Armories and Weta Workshop.

The second film which will now include video game elements is scheduled with actors Ben Barnes (Prince Caspian, Chronicles of Narnia), William Moseley (Peter Pevensie, Chronicles of Narnia) and their stunt trainers Brian Danner (300, Master and Commander) and Allan Poppleton. Allan was also the stunt supervisor on Wolverine, The Hunger Games, Avatar and Spartacus, to name a few.

The film company is also setting up interviews with actors from the Starz series in addition to Johnny Depp who trained with famous Star Wars swordmaster Bob Anderson. Bob was prominently featured in the first ‘Reclaiming the Blade’ film and was actually in the Darth Vader suit doing the lightsaber work with Mark Hamill and choreographed those scenes.
