In the United States, there are 10.5 Million unemployed people. TWOSOME’s Mission is to help people get back on their feet, by covering them up. With the aid of the local rescue mission, TWOSOME, Sock Co. will provide these deserving individuals with dress socks to help get jobs, sustain employment and to become ultimately self sufficient by providing them with foot protection. This maybe a small item in a person’s wardrobe, but it is one less barrier that individuals will have to face when trying to find and sustain employment.

The Process
1. Buy a stylish, quality sock for yourself, loved one or friend.

2. For every pair purchased, we will donate a pair of classic dress socks TWOSOME one looking for and trying to sustain employment in the local community. Pair for Pair.

3. That’s it. The process is simple, straightforward and created with a purpose.

The Deal
Pair for Pair, we match donations to every purchase of TWOSOME socks by giving quality socks to people seeking employment and trying to sustain low income jobs. These people may or may have a home, however, but what they do have is the internal drive to do better for themselves. While most of the people we donate our socks to come from various pasts, their motivation of becoming self sufficient and contributing as a productive member of the local and greater economy does not. The people we help are not looking for handouts, they are looking for jobs. They, however, lack the external and financial resources to get themselves out of poverty and become self-sufficient. Please understand, these socks do not just go to the homeless, they go to people who want to work and contribute to the community and society as a whole. Our mission is to give deserving people a second chance, and lower the barrier to employment. This company’s goal is to influence the system of joblessness, not just the symptoms of the problem.

The Design
This is a sample for one of the socks we received from the manufacture. We have submitted the initial five designs to the manufacture (3/10/14), and will continue to expand the brand to include various designs. The sock lines will include: Stripes, college rugby inspired, bold 5 color design, dark yet fashionable socks and finally, a line for the professional in the workplace. These socks can be worn by both men and women, and we will continue to introduce various lines, such as a no show sock for loafers (Loafer Liners) & a sock line for the little ones.

The Donation
Once the initial samples are received from the manufacture, we will update this page to keep everyone informed & on board. Also, please note, the donated sock will be a classic, dark dress sock that looks very professional when these individuals go on interviews (this way they land the job).

The Statement
TWOSOME, Sock Co. product is a quality, stylish sock with a purpose. The socks have been designed to make a statement about the person who is wearing them. By putting on a pair of TWOSOME socks, individuals are displaying to others their support to help others, of becoming part of something bigger than them selves.

The Plan
With this business, we have mitigated the potential risks and challenges that may arise. I have worked closely with my advisors that have over 60 years combined in starting businesses, entrepreneurship and companies with a social purpose.

We have already partnered with a manufacture based in North Carolina that will help produce the socks for your enjoyment, which is also set up for a scalable production run. Additionally, we have partnered with a local organization that is already set up and currently helps people find and sustain employment in the local community, allowing for the distribution of socks to people looking for work. Also, the website has been created and tested to sell socks online once the initial purchase is funded. We have gone over the financials of this company together with our partners, and have set this up in a way that is a sustainable business with a social purpose.

The Consumer
All I need is YOUR help to bring people like you closer to people deserving a second chance. Once the initial amount is funded through donations, I will be able to purchase the socks, ship the design of your choice to you, and give the second pair to the deserving individuals.
