I am Jordan Patton, a 16 year old student from Arizona. I made a social media site called My Content Writing. I believe that it’s innovative because as a writer, I know that one of the biggest problems writers face is getting traffic. It’s impossible to be a writer if no one reads your writing. So I thought to myself, what if there was a site where you could post your writing and get other writers to read it, critique it, and even visit your blog. Then you would be able to get traffic to your blog, and you would improve as a writer.
Other social media sites can improve traffic. That was the main source of traffic for my blog. But social media could be better for writers. My site allows full length articles in the site, so writers can have their articles on the site. There is so much potential for traffic for writers, because of the targeted audience. Writers could have their own blogs on the site, and it would be so easy to be connected with their readers.
Another huge advantage of having a social media site just for writers is how targeted the audience is. Advertising could be targeted just to writers, and the return on investment for advertisers could be higher than other social media sites because of the targeted audience. Also people interested in writing could spend hours on the site, because all of the content is for writers. As the members of the site increase, the amount and quality of the content will increase.
