Toronto, ON – Starting this week, Team-SLING! is proud to announce the launch of their kickstarter campaign. The campaign focuses on raising funds to release the first issue of the anticipated comic book series entitled, “SLING!”. The goal of the kickstarter is to raise $4,000 for the production and distribution of the premiere issue.
SLING! Is a weird western, following the misadventures of the title character… Sling. In the first issue, we meet our anti-hero who is on a problematic mission. As he visits his old friend Julio Consuila, who is dealing with terrifying issues of his own, events begin to spiral out of control when Sling involves himself in a situation he doesn’t fully understand.
“SLING! Has been in production for almost two years.” Rock explained. “Now, we are finally close to launching this beast of a comic. With the first issue, we really wanted to lay the groundwork for what is to come; this story is massive and I think readers will really begin to understand the scope once they get their hands on the first issue.“ Speaking of the team behind the book, Rock proudly explained, “I am very privileged to work with such talented people, and the love and support from the comic-book community at large has been overwhelming.”
One such supporter of SLING! is Toronto based Writer and creator Conor McCreery. McCreery is best know for his widely successful comic book series Kill Shakespeare. “SLING! is one of the wildest, weirdest, most gut-bustingly funny romps I have ever read! This is how the west should have been won!” Said McCreery at this years Toronto Comic-Con.
