A London based Crowdfunding Campaign to raise £7000 for a forthcoming exhibition and book launch. The Sketch A Day Project is a collection of 365 daily drawings by artist and illustrator Jane Moore and needs to raise needs £7000 to fund a forthcoming exhibition and book launch in London.

Beginning as a New Year’s Resolution Jane has been recording observations, thoughts and ideas in a collection of trusty Moleskine sketchbooks. To celebrate the completion of the Sketch A day Project the innovative arts venue, Shapes in Hackney Wick, London will house all 365 individual mounted and framed sketches. The Sketch A Day book with the entire 365 drawings will also be launched at the exhibition.

To coincide with the exhibition The Sketch A Day project will also be running drawing workshops for London based secondary schools. With a different theme per day pupils will get the opportunity to work alongside Jane drawing from costumed life models and creating their own Sketch A Day journal.

The £7000 raised through the Kickstarter Campaign will fund the the main costs of the exhibition. These include mounting & framing of the 365 drawings, shipping, venue hire and set up & display. The donations will also fund the printing of the Sketch A Day book.

“From fox-trotting foxes, through languishing lovers, to Da Vinci-esque anatomical studies, these are more than just sketches but a unique collection of thoughts and ideas drawn in exquisite detail by a fine artist in her stride. Making us smile, reflect and marvel, Jane Moore’s ‘Sketch A Day’ debut exhibition is one not to be missed, setting a benchmark for contemporary fine artists who want to make their mark.”  Simon Tarrant – Artist and Art Curator

The Sketch A Day Project is offering great rewards! These include the original mounted & framed Sketch A Day drawings, private commissions, the Sketch A Day book, Limited Edition prints, Gift Vouchers, Sketch A Day T-shirts & Greeting Cards and even the Sketch A Day illustrated alphabet playing cards! Hailing from Belfast I studied Fine Art before moving to London to embark upon a degree in Fashion Promotion and Illustration, graduating from the University College for the Creative Arts (UCA). Since graduating I have been working as a freelance illustrator and storyboard artist in the Advertising, Commercial, Marketing, Fashion and Publishing industries. I have been fortunate to have worked with clients such as Beats by Dre, RSA Films, i-D magazine, Douwe Egberts, The BFI, The National Portrait Gallery, Barbican and The Royal Academy of Arts. My latest endeavour sketchadayproject.com is the product of a New Year’s resolution I set myself in January 2014, to draw a sketch every day. The project will conclude with my first solo exhibition in Shapes Hackney Wick, London from January 23rd to January 28th 2015.
