San Diego, CA — February 15, 2016 | There’s good news for fans of the award-winning Danny Dog, the heartwarming, nonfiction children’s book about a rescue dog’s journey to find his forever home – a sequel book is on its way.

The sequel has been written and a Kickstarter campaign to fund the book has been launched.

The original Danny Dog – A rescue dog finds his forever home received the 2015 “Family Choice Award” which recognizes the best in children’s and parenting products. The book was also named to RedRover Reader’s “Recommended Books with Humane Themes” book list. This program helps children explore positive relationships between people and animals through stories and discussion.

Geared toward children four years and older, the Danny Dog sequel book will continue the adventures of the adorable Shih Tzu as he settles into his new home. The original Danny Dog book has been embraced by children and adults, alike. The book serves to teach children two valuable lessons:

1) The importance of giving pets a second chance.
2) The vital role played by pet rescue organizations in helping secure a forever home.

Like the original book, a portion of the proceeds from the sequel will be donated to pet rescue organizations to help them continue their dedicated and tireless work in the communities they serve.
