Engineering, design, and production company, Dive Xtras in Seattle, WA, has launched a Kickstarter Project aiming to “get the clutter off your desk and treat your GoPro HERO with respect.”

After getting fed up with having to deal with yet another cable, and having our media workstations looking cluttered with cameras, cables, and other junk laid out, we decided that we needed to clean everything up. After much thinking and conceptualizing, we decided that a dock would be the best fit to go with our GoPros. We designed the dock first out of high grade plastic but decided that it wasn’t sturdy enough, so we tried different types of metal until we arrived at what we have now. Then we attacked the finishes.

We like looking good, so we arrived at a crossroads; stealthy and black or streamline, sleek, and polished? Why not the best of both worlds? With a brushed aluminum base and anodized black stand, the Sidekick Dock looks great with media center you have, Apple or PC.

Machined out of a solid block of aircraft grade aluminum in our North Seattle design and production plant, the Sidekick Dock for GoPro HERO cameras keeps your media production space neat and organized while being eye catching at the same time. The first dock of its kind, the Sidekick Dock was designed for use with the GoPro HERO 2, 3, and 3+ all with or without the accessory BacPacs attached. Intuitive, one-handed operation makes it easy to dock or undock your GoPro HERO. With the ability to secure the Sidekick Docks together, you can create a stylish docking station for all of your media production needs.
