ARTIST DRAWING HUNDREDS OF CAST MEMBERS IN STORY FROM PICTURES OF REAL-LIFE READERS

Louisiana author/artist, AxB Letigre, is using crowd sourcing to fund the production of his graphic novel, The White Cell & The Decillion Dollar Holograph. As a reward for pre-ordering the book, he’s offering purchasers the opportunity to be drawn into the book as a cast member. Letigre has said “anything goes” regarding the photos that purchasers are asked to send in for referencing.

Letigre notes that the challenge will be to incorporate people of all nationalities and walks of life into the story, but that “the underlying theme of the story is that everything is connected and everything is one,” so he thinks it’s a manageable concept, and the result will “accurately depict our present day with respect to style and ideals.”

Cameo appearances in graphic novels and comic books generally are very limited and cost anywhere from US$500 to $5,000 depending on the publisher. Letigre is offering this opportunity for the price of the book ($25), while still maintaining an aura of exclusivity by only selling the books directly to supporters, hence limiting the total number of books in the marketplace.

The novel is underlined by popular conspiracy theories with a heavy dose of string theory, solar history, and interpersonal dramas. It takes place on present day Earth, a planet which is cosmically quarantined due to an infection of dark forces from the star systems Zeta Reticuli and Alpha Draconis. The story follows Blizz Griley, a caddish young American banking consultant whose life begins to fall apart as he questions the methods used by his employers for control. As he struggles to find a way to keep his relationships and possessions, he has several awakenings which begin to unlock the true potential of the human mind, a 3,000 IQ. After a surprise meeting with an otherworldly being named Za, his powers begin to evolve quicker than he can handle. He begins to attract attention from forces around the world looking to use his powers to support their own agendas—one of which is the enslavement of human kind through free will. Blizz must find the keys to harnessing his godhead or fall into the traps of darkness like all of those before him.

AxB Letigre is an award-winning artist and writer from Seattle, Washington currently residing in Baton Rouge, LA. He has been producing artwork and writing since 2002.
