Now introducing ‘Save Me the Last Dance’ – the short film campaign is live on IndieGoGo! The famous ego-driven director, Edgar Seni has a dark past that has made him bitter and unable to love. He carries with him a secret love obsession that haunts and fuels the creativity for his horror films. Mr. Seni’s new intern Ruebens Taylor is an eager film student who has obsessed over Edgar’s films since he was a young boy. After years of watching and studying Mr. Seni’s horror and slasher films he has grown into a twisted young man. Ruebens would do anything for his idol. All he wants is to get close to the man that has inspired him for years and get into his mind, which may prove to be too close for comfort when he discovers a secret.
We have assembled a very talented and creative team of filmmakers, actors, dancers, composers and industry professionals from all over the globe for the making of this short film. Our writer and director, Rael Abreu comes from Brasilia, Brazil and is a current graduating student from Film School in Toronto, Canada. Her vision, strength, and passion are what fuel this team. She has created this piece for her directorial debut in the film industry and plans to have it showcased at festivals in Brazil, the US, and Canada.
Behind her is a great team of hard working producers, Richard Chad Snider and Pegah Hadizadeh who between the both of them have several impressive films & music videos on their portfolio. Pegah comes from Iran, Chad from Ontario and both met in Film School. They bring to the table much expertise with large scale productions, production management, creative assisting and have proven to have a great working dynamic.
The talented Soroush Hosseini will have his eye behind the camera. Soroush is from Iran and moved to Toronto to attend film school, where he met Rael. They both have worked with each other and have had the chance to develop a great working dynamic. Soroush has several credits under his belt as a writer, director and cinematographer, is a talented artist and filmmaker, and we are very lucky to have him on our team.
The man behind the music, our composer Guilherme Negrao is an industry professional with many reputable credits. He is based out of Los Angeles, California and has gladly signed on to be a part of the project. His efforts will set the mood in our film once he takes his time finessing our film with his musical talents.
Our Production Designer, William Vitoria will surely make this film visually stimulating. He is also a graduate of the Toronto Film School and has always had a special talent for artistic direction and creation. He has a big job to do, however we are confident that with his track record he and his team will give us nothing but perfection.
Last, but definitely not the least, our diverse cast have been carefully selected through a long audition process. They are an extremely talented mix of union and non-union artists and dancers who are very passionate about performing. They are the faces of our film and we are so proud to showcase their talents.
This campaign is designed to raise funds to help us get our film made and submitted into festivals to ultimately showcase all of our talents of the many artists involved.
The funding donated will go towards our art and post production budget, Along with our own funds, we are putting our heart, souls, blood, sweat, and tears into the making of this film.
