When most people go to adopt a pet, puppies are often the first choice, leaving the older dogs behind at shelters. It’s harder for them to find the loving homes that they deserve, which is why the Sanctuary for Senior Dogs in Cleveland Ohio provides homes for these senior dogs, giving them all the love and attention that they deserve while they wait for their furever families to come and find them.
Hi, I’m Salem Tillman, and as a young competitive rower, I’ve created a fundraiser entitled “Rowing for Rescue” where I will be rowing on my erg this January to raise funds for this amazing charity so that they can continue with their mission to save older dogs and provide them with homes for as long as they need while they wait to be adopted by a family that will love and cherish them.
My fundraiser is simple; I will be accepting pledges per each mile that I row and the funds will go directly to the Sanctuary for Senior Dogs and will be used by them in whatever way is needed. Whether you choose to give a few cents, a dollar or two per mile, or maybe even ten, each bit goes a long way and is greatly appreciated!
And don’t worry, my campaign has a feature where you can set a donation limit if that’s something that you need. So even if I row a thousand miles in this timeframe, you won’t have to make the pledge for all those miles if you don’t want to!
So even though the holiday season may be over, it’s never too late to make a pledge to help save animals and help find them a home where they’ll be free to live out the rest of their lives how these please!
