Indie game developer Games For Holly has released a Kickstarter for its forthcoming expandable card game “Renae: the Rise and Fall.” The Kickstarter is intended to help fund the creation of a standalone expandable card game that is enjoyable for all ages. Along with the core game multiple expansion sets will be released when stretch goals are met. With appearances at Con on The Cob in Hudson Ohio and multiple gaming stores in the Northeast Ohio/Pennsylvania area, Games For Holly wishes to fully release a fun, ever growing game with an ever-expanding and involved storyline.
Renae is an indie expandable card game, which mixes elements of rpg, tabletop, miniatures, and card games into one fun and unique game. Mechanics include things like grid based movement, dice rolling, healing, and support classes.
Created in Early 2013 by Thomas and Holly Burdick, Renae: the Rise and Fall is intended to be an exciting diversion from other popular card games. As time passed, the Burdicks and their friends became more involved in the game, realizing the set of rules and characters they had created were an interesting cadre of action and adventure. With the support of local gaming stores and the input from many friends, Renae: the Rise and Fall has undergone in-depth play testing and development. Although Development has been strong the game can only continue into production with the proper funding from generous contributors.
Renae: the Rise and Fall intends to be a clean, strategic game of chance and adventure, with an ever-expanding realm of possibilities. All one needs is a little imagination, involvement and most importantly, a willingness to have fun! Renae: The Rise and Fall is intended for ages 12+, however with adult supervision it is recommended for all ages.
