You may remember Jaclyn Bradley Palmer as Gretchen and Danny Bonaduce’s assistant on Vh1’s documentary-style series “Breaking Bonaduce”: Motorcycles, mayhem and meltdowns. Well, today she is serving the greater good as a hospital music therapist where she uses the music that saved her to help others. She is most recently known for her published work with music and breast cancer surgery, where she found live music to reduce anxiety in the operating arena. While delivering the unquestionable healing qualities of music by day, Jaclyn writes and plays music by night.
In the past, her voice and music have been featured on TLC (“King of the Crown”), Bravo (“Rachel Zoe Project”), Time Warner (“Random Acts of Music”), Vh1 (“Breaking Bonaduce”) and film, “The Hipsters” starring Phyllis Diller and Joan Rivers. She also toured the LA music scene as a solo act and as a backup singer for Ty Stone (Atlantic Records) and Gretchen Bonaduce. Currently living in The Netherlands, she is ready to record her third album, THE DUCTH SESSIONS, music written in Holland by an American heart.
She has launched a kickstarter account so that fans and supporters can be a part of the music-making. In return for pledging support, donors can receive early downloads, signed albums, personalized postcards, handwritten lyrics, liner-note shout outs, living room concerts, event performances, video appearances, singing telegrams, and personalized songs. Funds raised will be used toward production, studio-time, mastering, talent (studio musicians), artwork, manufacturing and video production.
The fundraiser will run for 30 days through October 18th and funds will only be obtained if the goal of $2000 is reached. While production of the album is estimated at $6000, funds raised will help Palmer to allow her vision to come to life. While her experiences in the Netherlands will only last two years, this album will allow the songs written there to endure. This record will belong to all involved with supporting it.
