“Dizzlike“: a Facebook parody as a browsergame / Who has the fewest friends wins / Development team is looking for financial support on Indiegogo to realize the game

A browsergame that’s currently under development by a Startup company from Nuremberg, Germany. Your goal is to have as few friends as possible but you can’t simply unfriend them or turn a friend request down because you are “too politically correct”. They have to unfriend you! Rank up each time you lose friends, and one day, you will become the “Master of Dizzlike”. But be aware, it won’t be so easy, there will be a few surprises in Dizzlike. The whole thing is just for fun – real profiles on Facebook aren’t affected.

Players collect Dizzpoints and have a limited amount of spare time which is displayed by a simple bar. And just like in real life, friends consume time. The user can choose of a variety of insults and actions to scare away their virtual friends. For example, a player can insult those friends by saying something like ”Your Mother is so stupid, at Super Mario she walks to the left.” or you can smuggle Mentos into his Coke.

Multiplayer or Player-vs-Player

The game also offers a new kind of Multiplayer and Player-vs-Player (PvP). Just like in Facebook there is an option to join a group. If you do so you’ll be able to perform more powerful actions in a team against other players like hosting a party at his place. The bad thing is: Joining a group will automatically make all group members your friends which isn’t good at all since the goal is to lose friends.

Damage won’t be dealt with weapons like in many other games. You alone or your group can deal damage by either sending your bot friends to other players or performing a certain action to send a random bot to them. By doing that your opponent will have more friends what results less spare time and Dizzpoints.

First Anti Profile

But before we have the game Dizzlike, we’ll make an Anti Profile for Facebook. Since that’s, what we all want. And you too. There you can list the things you don’t like, e.g. the most boring movie ever and you can tell, that you hate cooking and clubs. If that’s not enough, you are able to visit virtual trainings e.g. in Karate or rhetoric to become more nimble and unlock new actions.

I developed this idea on a startup weekend in Nuremberg, in which it received much applause. My team and I aren’t short on motivation, ability or ideas but we need support with funding. That’s why we decided to finance our game through crowdfunding. Our idea is cool and we’ve got a lot of positive feedback about it. We believe that there are many other people too who think that way and are willing to support us to make this game happen.

Support needed

We started a campaign on Indiegogo on 17th of July so now is your time to help us make our dream come true! In return you get various gifts as rewards like T-Shirts, Dizzpoints or access to beta version of the game. All support is needed so please, share the link and let all your friends know about this awesome campaign!
