David G. Forés has been madly illustrating Poe over the last two years, and now is offering his ravings to all the Poe’ lovers on Kickstarter.
Barcelona 18th March 2014 – David G. Forés launches on Kickstarter his last work ‘Edgar Allan Poe illustrated: Ravings of love & death‘, a multi-sensorial project, based on illustrations, where the Spanish illustrator presents his interpretation of the Edgar Allan Poe work, in which he has been working over the last two years.
‘Ravings of love & death‘ is the poetic title of an anthology dedicated to Edgar Allan Poe lovers, gathering the most significant love and death stories of the writer. Meticulously illustrated by David G. Forés, and designed by Carlos Ruiz, this is a publication where text, images and an original soundtrack immerse you into its story. The project is presented on Kickstarter to face the $58,000 they need to print such an edition for collectors’, available in two languages; English and Spanish. The countdown already started, 28 days to seek for the supporters!
Certain pledge rewards include goodies exclusive to Kickstarter such as the David Sketchbook, the macabre vinyl with the original soundtrack, an original colored illustration or even the chance of being portrayed as one of the despicable Poe characters in the very same book. For the pledger that wants a truly one-of-a-kind experience, they also offer a supernatural experience with the aim of meeting Edgar Allan Poe’s spirit! What a challenge!
From $5 to $10,000 everybody is welcomed to contribute with this little team insanity obsessed with the writer. The Word is already out!
