January 17th, 2014 – Toronto, Canada – Two sisters, Nikki Flowerday and Phoebe Stephens, are thrilled by the online response to their board game, Query the Game. Two days ago, they unveiled their creation, a board game that plays off of the autocompletes from Internet searches. They used the well-known crowdfunding site, Kickstarter, to generate the funds for their project. Incredibly, they surpassed their goal in one day and social media channels have been abuzz with news about Query. With 42 days left to go in the Kickstarter campaign, the sisters wonder how far the funding will go.
Query puts a fresh, modern twist on a classic board game concept – it’s party game where players earn points for identifying the top Internet search predictions and for fooling others into choosing their well-crafted answers. It’s for ages 14 and up, and can be played with three or more players. A typical round lasts 45 minutes.
The game creators are hopeful that the amazing feedback and support their game has received so far is a sign of future success in the marketplace. Query will be available to the public in the next couple of months on Amazon.com or on their own site – Querythegame.com.
