I am Alan Ashley, the guy behind Push Pull Cardio. Being an Air Force veteran and a father of three, I am well-versed in dealing with challenges and overcoming barriers to success. In 2012, I was faced with two of the most difficult situations someone could face. My older brother fell into a coma that nearly claimed his life and weeks later I lost my oldest daughter to cancer. Both of these situations changed me forever. I wanted to be a part of something bigger than myself and to help others in their pursuit of healthier lifestyles.
By day I work as an Information Technology Specialist. By night I am a personal trainer for a corporate gym while also working independently as an outdoor fitness instructor. While I have the fortune of working in two positions that have positive effects on people’s lives, I want to do even more.
The problem with corporate gyms is that though they offer personal training (at great cost), simply being a member at a gym does nothing to guarantee success. It only provides the tools with no instructions on how to use them. PPC will offer structured classes that provide clear instructions on how to properly perform each movement while delivering a challenging, intense workout that will help members achieve their fitness goals. Members of our studio will have the opportunity to flourish by receiving superior training from a certified instructor. But before we can do this, we need YOUR help.
Push Pull Cardio (PPC) offers a no-nonsense approach to creating healthy lifestyles, one body at a time. PPC’s mission is not to simply arm members with tools, but to provide a solution that will show them proper technique, frequency, tempo and intensity in a supporting and safe environment. While working with current clients, I have personally discovered two main reasons why so many people fail at establishing healthier lifestyles: accountability and lack of knowledge. PPC trainers will work directly with members to improve their chances for success by providing proper guidance and by sharing their knowledge. Push Pull Cardio will allow each member to get the intensity of personal training with the inspiration and savings of a small group workout.
At PPC, not only do we have a mission of creating healthy lifestyles, we are also in the fight to cure life-threatening diseases in children. Being a parent and having endured the loss of a child to cancer, I know firsthand the impact childhood disease has on the whole family. When I lost my daughter, the amount of support we received was incredible. PPC wants to help other families going through similar situations before they have to experience the loss of their child.
