In 2015, Arizona Legislature provided entrepreneurs the opportunity to create benefit corporations. To date, there are five Arizona benefit corporations listed in the National B-Corp Directory. One of those businesses belongs to a Phoenix mom who launched it alongside a full-time career, an active volunteer calendar and busy family schedule. She recently launched a Kickstarter campaign: That’s a Wrap! Nail Art Subscription Box with Purpose to officially open Nail Art Club Inc for business.
As a benefit corporation Nail Art Club Inc has purpose beyond profitability—to improve the lives of women worldwide by learning to accept, love and embrace our differences. This purpose is fulfilled through a monthly subscription service that includes up to 3 nail wraps for $20 delivered to members along with education on embracing differences and improving confidence. Additionally up to 20% of profits are donated to non-profit organizations that work towards the betterment of women. These organizations help teens and women get a better start, transition out of an abusive situation, become self-sufficient, start their businesses or launch a career.
