Howell, MI – Locally owned Pupmuffins LLC has launched an Indiegogo campaign asking for contributors to help grow their business. Pupmuffins LLC hand bakes all natural healthy dog treats. Founded just under a year ago, Pupmuffins LLC has been selling these healthy alternatives to local pet stores and groomers as well as the local Farmers Markets. Demand has been growing for these dog treats and because of this they want to expand to have an online presence and look into franchising out across the United States.
“One day we read the ingredients on the dog treat bag we bought and noticed it was filled with by product meal, glutens, and even chemicals. Chemicals that can cause cancer if exposed to. Thats why we started Pupmuffins” Says Keri Deziel Owner of Pupmuffins LLC
They have initially started with an Indiegogo campaign and are also creating a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds. They plan on using any funds they receive to purchase more equipment, expand their product line, and to file a patent for what they call a proprietary process for their dog treats.
“The patent is expensive to file and is hard to get when it’s the actual process you are looking to patent. The process that we have for these dog treats is very unique and the process itself gives the dog treats an extended shelf life without the use of preservatives”

Pupmuffins was founded and established in 2013 be Keri Deziel. After realizing how many chemicals and by product meals were in dog treats she knew she could create a healthier no preservative snack for dogs. After a few months of testing and perfecting the treats she began to sell them to local pet stores and at farmers markets. The demand since then has been very high and so now Pupmuffins is looking to expand. These hand baked treats are not only for dogs but can even be consumed by humans as every treat is made of only all natural ingredients with no preservatives. The company is starting to build an online presence, and looking to expand with the possibility of franchising.
