Chicago-based activewear brand focused on community raising funds through Indiegogo.
Pulse Athletic Apparel, a Chicago-based startup, is growing its community in more ways than one.
Launched in July of 2020, the activewear brand is looking to raise its first round of funding through the popular crowdfunding website Indiegogo. The campaign’s goal is $10,000, which is a relatively modest amount for a startup.
Pulse Athletic Apparel is the first heart based fitness brand. Designed for utmost comfort, durability, and breathability for high intensity athletic activities anywhere from marathon running and HIIT workouts to day to day tasks, like working from home. We believe that you should spend money on experiences, not stuff, but here’s the stuff that let’s you experience life.
At the baseline, Pulse Athletic Apparel is a Chicago based fitness startup working to make high-quality activewear more affordable and accessible. Because you shouldn’t have to sacrifice your bank account for your well-being.
We live our lives through meaningful actions. Pulse’s mission is to build an authentic community and encourage that community to be intentional with their actions. We want to help people find what empowers them to push through. Running, lifting, yoga, dance — whatever it is that gets their bodies moving and hearts racing.
Pulse hopes to use the funds to continue their non-profit partnerships, create new products and styles, offer more inclusive sizing options, and more. The campaign would also ensure Pulse’s entire line remains affordable, which is a main driving force for the brand.
“Backing Pulse is backing a brand that drives inclusivity and emphasizes affordability without compromising quality,” Pulse Athletic Apparel founder and CEO Karishma Bali said.
Despite the lack of funding, Pulse Athletic Apparel has been able to amass a sizable following — one that it considers to be a community, and sometimes even a family.
“Pulse’s mission has always been to build a community of empowered individuals, but we also want to give back to the communities that have empowered us,” Bali said. “We hope increased funding pushes us in that direction.”
