The world of comic books is caught in an endless cycle of regurgitated concepts and ideas. The only real solution to this is to move away from the overused characters and storylines and onto something fresh and exciting. Con Artist Entertainment is an independent comic book studio out of Tampa, Florida that is looking to bring more excitement and originality back to the comic scene. They have been creating and distributing their own independent comics for a couple years now and have launched a new kickstarter, which they need your help to fund.
What is Project:Overwatch?
The concepts are pretty straight forward, an adult orientated politically-driven superhero drama. In this story, a group of teen apprentices must fight to keep their superhero mentors from overthrowing the government.
Their goal is simply to give life-long comic fans something different and original, while at the same time, providing fans who are new to the medium a more friendly, and less intimidating introduction.
Written and created by: Martin Dunn with Art by: Javier Lugo. The project will feature cover art by Jimbo Salgado, whose credits include Batman, Team 7, Judge Dredd, Transformers, and Grimm Fairy Tales.
