Springfield, Mo, 9/17/14 —Indiegogo Crowd funding project known as Mac’s burger Shack,which will be located in Springfield,Missouri when fully funded will be the first in the nation as a crowdfunding startup that will actively seek out willing, capable homeless veterans, women to staff the re creation of a classic burger joint.
Its creator a military and restaurant veteran came up with the idea when researching the classic route 66 burger joint known as RED’S Giant Hamburg located that was located in Springfield ,Missouri and is given credit for the invention of the first drive through window.
what makes Mac’s Burger Shack unique is that selected talented homeless will be chosen to staff the diner and will be given the chance to be a part of something bigger than themselves and mentored in real world business marketing and finance. A place to restore self worth and sense of pride and dignity,a place where staff have an actual say in marketing,menu creation, employee handbook, interior and exterior design.
