Now introducing Dynasty Football, the brainchild of creator Eric Kneipfer out of Boston, Massachusetts. Dynasty Football is a sports coaching/general management sim inspired by the great football simulations of the 1990s. This unique simulation is a PC based sports management/role playing game that puts you in control of all aspects of running a pro football franchise.
Players can delve into the role playing aspect of the game by personalizing your coach character. Choose from one of twelve different coach personality types loosely based on actual successful coaches (for example Player’s Coach, Authoritarian, Tactician) each with its own strengths and weaknesses. Spend points on coaching attributes like developing tight ends, evaluating defensive linemen, negotiation skills, and more.
Next, take control of a team and begin to trade, bench, cut, draft, sign, and discipline players as you see fit. You run the show in this world! Analyze your players’ 40 attributes and figure out who will be the most effective with the football style you want to implement. Keep track of over 75 statistics per player!
On defense create aggressive or passive zone instructions, bump and run or free release, man to man coverage (with shading), one gap, two gap, blitzes, stunts, QB spy, and contain instructions. You can even order a defender to wait in several different time increments to create delayed blitzes! Be original in any way you can think of, or go classic with tried and true concepts like a cover 2 defense. Like real football, creative tactical thinking is rewarded in Dynasty Football!
