The virtual generation. Everyone pays particular attention to their “digital image,” to their editorial line on social networks. Many attempt to create THE image that will stand out on their networks, the one that will engage the greatest number of virtual friends.

But today, photos inundate our pages, discussion threads and other “walls.” They are exchanged, commented on, shared, “liked”…. Contents are consumed and thrown out, often without having been really memorized. A great surfing of birth photos, tightrope-walking cats and the umpteenth best burger of SF… with a permanent aftertaste of déjà vu.

What if we could spice up our content creation? How better to arouse the attention of our friends, create buzz around our photos and the desire to discover each image while having fun?

PIZZLE: A new way to share our photos

Created by Romain Pradier and Louis-Jean de Sédouy, the PIZZLE application is designing a new model, combining content creation with a game.

“At the border between game and social media, PIZZLE offers a different model from that which exists on the market. There is no beginning, no end, no levels: simply the thread of puzzles posted by your friends. Content and puzzle difficulty are totally personalized and managed by users.”

Louis-Jean de Sédouy

So, how does it work?

1. Take a photo
2. Hide a part of the photo and transform it into a puzzle
3. Set the rules for your puzzle: its size (3×3, 4×4 or 5×5) and the solving mode (limit the number of movements or play against the clock)
4. Share it with your friends

The objective: Solve the puzzle to see the complete photo.

TIP! Be creative and choose the hidden piece carefully to create buzz among your friends!!
But also: connect with your Facebook profile to easily find your friends and send them puzzles. Discover other players thanks to the random PIZZLES function. At any time, the “add to favorites” function allows you to save your friends’ PIZZLES to access them quickly – online or offline.

The Creators

Romain Pradier and Louis-Jean de Sédouy, two digital professionals, met in 2012. They were working at an agency on a project for a big luxury house, Louis-Jean as the project director, Romain as the technical director. Quickly, their passions for innovation and technology brought them together. The idea for PIZZLE emerged during the summer of 2014. Long work sessions allowed them to concretize this crazy idea from a night of giving a childhood game a second life.

What’s Next?

The application is now available on IOS and in 2 languages (French and English).

The official launch of the Android version is expected to debut in Summer 2016.

To develop the application quickly, the two French entrepreneurs launched a financing campaign on KICKSTARTER. If the goal is reached, the funds will allow to considerably enrich the experience and launch the target version of the game. Louis-Jean and Romain particularly plan to add social functionalities that are indispensible to the success of the project, and also to spread it to multiple formats: on pizzle.me, on Facebook and especially on Android.

From October 10th to November 14th 2015, support PIZZLE on KICKSTARTER!
