Fully devoted to producing high-quality, dependable, and attractively priced watches, the new brand Pitot Watches has turned to Indiegogo to crowdfund to manufacture the stunning Pitot F16 Watch Prototype.

Pitot Watches has a unique, exciting idea – to bring together master watch and aircraft designers and have them collaborate on a special project.  The project is the creation of a former aircraft mechanic who worked and fell in love with the slick F16 Fighting Falcon and knowing many others feel the same way brought together a team who could help him design and manufacture a titanium 5 grade alloy watch based on the plane’s look, feel, and features.  Through Indiegogo funding of the Pitot F16 Fighter Falcon watch project, the first run will be able to be expertly crafted and donors who meet the fund requirement will receive one of the remarkable watches, which they will surely cherish for a lifetime.

“Pitot has flight mechanics and watch designers working together to make watches inspired by fighter jets,”  commented, the Denmark-based Thomas Clausen, founder of Pitot. “The first watch is inspired by the amazing F16 Fighting Falcon fighter jet. We are making this watch to honor the airplane and all the staff that help to keep the plane safe in the air.  We are looking forward to exceeding even very high expectations.”

The Indiegogo has set a goal of $6000, with at least 70% needed to be raised for Pitot Watches to be able to manufacture the first run for supporters.  Otherwise, donations will be refunded.

The crowdfunding campaign is surrounded by excitement with former pilots, aircraft mechanics, military lovers, and other diverse people being completely enthused by the concept and the care and quality that is clearly being put into the watch by Clausen and his team of experts.

For the first 40 people to donate the  Pitot F16 Fighting Falcon watch will be available for the stunning price of $150, 86% off its expected retail tag of $1133.  Beyond that supporters will be able to donate through Kickstarter, at a discount, to receive one of the first run of the watch at 50% off of retail, still a huge saving.

Some highlights of the watch include a strap inspired by the F16 pilot’s PCU 15 harness in material, colors and stitching, with 20mm lugs and a Titanium Grade 2 Buckle stamped with the name Pitot; the outer top case has an antenna inspired pattern from just in front of the canopy on the nose section of the  F16; the case itself is made of Titanium Grade 5 aircraft alloy, measuring at 42x54x13mm; the dial is based on the airframe structure, spars, longeron and stringer – 3D frames in plast molded with a metal plating aluminum appearance, with the lower dial made of copper with a black sunburst; its push buttons is inspired from the jet’s nose cowling; glass is double curved with AR coating in Sapphire glass; and the movement of the watch is a Swiss made Ronda 5030.D Quartz chronograph, with a battery life of 54 months.  Many more features make the list adding up to a watch no one who feels affection for the F16 will want to miss.
