Paris, France — On November 16 2016, Phong Pham launched a Kickstarter campaign for O’tatmo, the first ever interactive multicolor LED lightband that users can control with a few simple hand gestures. The O’tatmo Lightband can also be customized to promote companies, clubs, or artists throwing live events.
“It’s great watching colorful lights. And it’s greater having full control of lights in your hand,” says Founder and CEO, Phong Pham, “It’s been my passion to create things that have intuitive interaction. Therefore, I started with O’tatmo Lightband.”
People have been using LED lights to express themselves at concerts, festivals, and other live events for years. O’tatmo makes this easier than ever before with a light band that fits around the palm of the user’s hand and is controlled by hand gestures. To turn its lights on and off, users open or close their palm. Clenching or clapping twice changes the color and a single click of the button will change the flash pattern. These gestures are simple and easy to do during a dance routine or while rocking out to your favorite live band.
One of the exciting aspects of this new LED band is the potential for cross-device advertising. LED colors and flash patterns can be customized for large events, and logos can even be added to the LED button’s frosted plastic for help increasing brand awareness. O’tatmo has loads of practical uses, not just for events but in daily life afterwards as an easy-to-control bike light or to bring on a hike in case of emergencies. O’tatmo is made from premium quality leather, making it durable and comfortable to wear.
Now that the team has completed working prototypes, they are turning to the Kickstarter community to crowdfund the manufacturing of the O’tatmo Lightband. The company is eager to share their creation with the world and get feedback from early users.
“We aim to make O’tatmo Lightband a wearable device of choice by seeking to inspire users with real-time interaction in every live event,” says Daniel Bui, Head of Branding, “Our product, when given to a big crowd, can help break the barrier between the audience and the stage, truly creating an engaging environment that will be unforgettable for the participants.”
In exchange for pledging to the project, backers can gain access to a variety of rewards including one O’tatmo Lightband for €19, two Lightbands for €37, and more. Backers can also pledge €69 for four Lightbands, up to €1,400 for one hundred O’tatmo Lightbands!
