Origins Leather Company recently launched our Kickstarter campaign rewarding supporters with discounted items from the initial line of high quality, handcrafted, vegetable tanned leather bags. The company’s designs combine classic style with modern functionality; resulting in a timeless product. Based out of Portland, Oregon Origins Leather Company is being built on a foundation of family, community, and quality. The bags are backed by a 100 year repair or replacement guarantee of any material or manufacture defect.
Creating quality leather goods for our customers was an absolute component of our products. Additionally, we wanted the ancillary affects of our product to benefit our local and global communities. Over the lifetime of an Origins bag our customer will save lots of money by not having to replace their bag annually. Each bag saved is less waste in a local landfill.
Our leather is vegetable tanned. Natural tannins and other ingredients found in plants are used to tan our leather. The tanning process takes additional time compared to chemically tanned leather, but time is of little consequence when compared to the environmental impact of Chrome tanned leather.
Our initial product line includes a classic briefcase, writer’s bag, tote, traveler’s pouch, wallet, and pint glass koozies. All of our initial products are currently available on the nearly funded Kickstarter campaign at discounted prices.
